A symbol of Calabria, the Calabrese pepper is known for its intense flavour and robust aroma. Bright red in colour, it has a medium heat level, though some specimens can reach much higher levels. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, this pepper is also valued for its digestive and circulatory benefits.
Serving suggestion
Hot Calabrese Peppers in Oil can be used on their own, to top bruschetta and crostini, or as an ingredient. An excellent seasoning for pizza, pasta and sauces, they add a touch of authentic heat to fresh or pan-cooked vegetables.
